ABOUT S.C. HARRIS BUILDERS
S. C. Harris Builders are an owner-operated company based in Christchurch. Sam Harris is an experienced and versatile builder with an eye for detail and respect for heritage.
Sam Harris started his building apprenticeship in 2005 with Fletcher Construction. On completion of his apprenticeship in 2009 he headed overseas to the UK. During his time in London he worked on renovations, loft conversions, shop fit outs and maintenance work.
The Christchurch earthquakes pulled him back home and he worked for a period of time for EQC working as an Estimator in the Canterbury earthquake recovery program.
Sam then moved to Western Australia for the next three years where he firstly worked for a large home building company as an Estimator and then for an Insurance Builder providing quotes and project managing multiple jobs.
His final year living overseas was in Canada working for an established window installation company.
Since settling back in Christchurch in early 2015 Sam has become a Licensed Building Practitioner and started S.C.Harris Builders, which is an owner operated local Canterbury business. He specialises in all aspects of renovations and extensions.
Project Management
Sam is able to quote for building only or is able to fully manage a project, supplying materials and managing sub-contractors on your behalf to make the experience as stress free as possible for you.
He works closely with a wide range of Licenced sub-contractors, however is also happy to work with sub-contractors of your choice.
Project Planning and Consents
