Decking materials

 

Kwila

Kwila (Instsia spp) is a South East Asian tropical hardwood.

  • Attractive gold to reddy-brown coloured timber which will age to driftwood grey if left to weather.

  • Kwila is hard wearing, easy to work with and has good strength, durability and excellent stability.

  • New kwila decks are susceptible to a reddy-brown tannin bleed in the first few months of being laid.


Garapa

Garapa (Apuleia Leiocarpa) is a South American tropical hardwood.

  • Attractive golden coloured timber which will age to driftwood grey if left to weather.

  • Garapa is easy to work with and has good strength, durability and stability.

  • New Garapa decks must be oiled on all sides to allow timber to properly season in the first year.


Pine

Cost effective, healthy (Arsenic-free) alternative to regular Pine decking that you will enjoy for years.
